A 23-minute improvisation in which saz and resonant strings keep their physical grain while synthetic voices and unstable rhythms answer in real time. It is a rare neural-audio work built around close listening between performers rather than replacement.
How the machine enters
Tirard's acoustic performance is processed through real-time RAVE models trained on tombak and choir timbres. Hexorcismos uses an Impulse Pattern Formulation algorithm to generate rhythms that respond to her gestures, while both artists shape the feedback loop during the performance.
