Two walks become a duet across distance. Field recordings and recollected voices give Law's turntable performance an intimate, restless form: places are revisited, interrupted and brought into contact, with the accompanying walks opening the source material to a second hearing.
How the machine enters
Law's Territory interface maps recorded walks, photographs and oral recollection to the position of a turntable needle. Needle movement, direction and vinyl manipulation reshape the walks in real time. This release documents his March 2026 Algorithmic Art Assembly talk and performance, alongside the San Francisco and Glasgow walks. Law authored and performs the system; no machine-learning claim is made.
